Magnolia Felix

Magnolia "Felix" is a cultivar of the Magnolia grandiflora, which is commonly known as the Southern magnolia. It is a flowering evergreen tree that is native to the southeastern United States.

The "Felix" cultivar is named after Felix Jury, a New Zealand plantsman who bred and selected it. It is known for its large, fragrant, creamy white flowers that bloom in the summer and fall. The flowers can reach up to 12 inches in diameter and are followed by cone-like fruits that contain bright red seeds.

The Magnolia "Felix" tree typically grows to a height of 30 to 40 feet and a spread of 20 to 30 feet. It has a pyramidal shape when young, but eventually becomes more rounded with age. The leaves are glossy and dark green, and can reach up to 8 inches in length.

Magnolia "Felix" is a popular ornamental tree in many parts of the world, and is often used as a specimen plant or as part of a mixed border. It prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. It is also tolerant of a wide range of soil types and pH levels, and is generally easy to grow and maintain.
