Western Australia is home to the shrub Adenanthos sericeus, often known as Woolly Bush. It belongs to the Proteaceae family and is valued for both its aesthetic appeal and unique form. Adenanthos sericeus is also known as Albany Woollybush and Silver Sticks. The leaves of Adenanthos sericeus are one of its most distinctive features. The small, needle-like leaves are closely packed along the stems, giving them a woolly or silvery look. Although some species may have variations in color, the typical leaf is soft and fuzzy to the touch, with a silvery-gray or grayish-green colour.
