Michelia 'Inspiration' is a hybrid evergreen shrub or small tree that is a cross between Michelia figo and Michelia yunnanensis. It is known for its attractive and highly fragrant flowers, which bloom in the spring and early summer. The flowers of Michelia 'Inspiration' are typically white or cream-colored, with a strong, sweet fragrance that is reminiscent of bananas or tropical fruit. They are produced in clusters at the tips of the branches, and can cover the entire plant when in bloom. Michelia 'Inspiration' is a relatively compact plant, typically reaching a height of 6-10 feet (1.8-3 meters) with a spread of 4-6 feet (1.2-1.8 meters). It prefers a well-drained soil and partial shade, and is suitable for growing in containers as well as in the ground.
