Dracaena draco, also known as the Dragon Tree, is a tree species that is native to the Canary Islands, Madeira, and parts of Africa. It is a slow-growing, long-lived tree that can grow up to 66 feet (20 meters) tall with a trunk diameter of up to 9 feet (2.7 meters).
The Dragon Tree has a unique, sculptural appearance, with a thick, stout trunk that is topped by a crown of narrow, gray-green leaves. The leaves are about 2 feet (60 cm) long and are arranged in a dense rosette at the end of the branches. The tree also produces small, white, sweet-scented flowers that are followed by orange berries.
