Cycas revoluta, commonly known as the Sago Palm, is a tree-like plant that is native to southern Japan. Despite its name, the Sago Palm is not a true palm tree, but rather a member of the cycad family.
The Sago Palm has a unique appearance, with a stout, woody trunk that can grow up to 10 feet (3 meters) tall and a crown of dark green, feathery leaves that can reach up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) in length. The leaves are divided into many small, narrow leaflets that give the tree a delicate, fern-like appearance.
