It is a tall, elegant palm with a smooth, slender trunk that can grow up to 30 meters (98 feet) tall in its native habitat.The leaves of the Alexandra palm are pinnate, meaning they are composed of multiple leaflets arranged along a central axis. The leaflets are dark green and glossy, and can grow up to 3 meters (10 feet) long. The palm produces large clusters of small, creamy-white flowers that give way to bright red, oval-shaped fruits.
